AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): According to the Communication and Media Affairs Centre of al-Nujaba in Iran, the spokesman of the al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement, spoke in the “Islamic Resistance” room on Clubhouse on “the events in Palestine and the Resistance-oriented expectations” and with regards to the presence of a group of interested people, researchers, domestic and foreign journalists (including Washington Post, BBC, CNN, etc.), he answered a number of questions from those present.
Al-Shammari first congratulated the Palestinian Islamic Resistance, saying that its strikes had reached all the occupied territories and expressed hope that this battle would be a strategic one that is not comparable to the past and should be considered as a prelude to the decline of the Zionist regime.
Referring to the unparalleled solidarity of the Iraqi people with the Palestinian people, he stated, “We are ready to enter into a direct conflict with the Zionist regime in support of Palestine.”
In this lively conversation, the spokesman of al-Nujaba warned that the Zionists, by resorting to soft war and spending billions of dollars, are trying to convince the public of the Islamic world and the Arab countries that the issue of Palestine has nothing to do with them.
Al-Shammari considered the Zionist regime as the main cause of internal problems in the Arab countries and added, “Imam Khomeini revived the issue of Palestine as a central issue and by designating International al-Quds Day, he put it back on the tongues of the people.”
While reviewing the formation of the Islamic Resistance in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen, which was accompanied by heavy defeats to Israel, the United States, Arab-affiliated regimes and terrorist groups, he noted, “The Islamic Republic of Iran passed on its experiences to the resistance through Martyr Soleimani, and as a clear example, today we see for the first time that a balance of power has been formed between the Palestinian Islamic Resistance and Israel.”
The deputy secretary-general praised the Palestinians’ heavy and deterrent response to the Zionist army’s attacks, which practically neutralized the enemy’s weapons and stated, “We are at a turning point in the history of the region and the world where two important changes are taking place – the American hegemony over this region is ending and the decline of the Zionist regime is beginning. God-willing the existing forces will be in charge of the region in the next forty years.”
After the above introduction, al-Shammari answered the questions of those present in the “Islamic Resistance” room, which is detailed below:
Over the years, the United States has been settling accounts with Iran in Iraq. Give your analysis of the political situation in Iraq in the future. Is there a change in this scene?
Although American policy in the region failed with the awakening of the people and Iraq was liberated from direct occupation, the American embassy is active in Iraq with a large number of staff and interferes in various matters. Our electricity and oil are still in the hands of the United States and Washington is involved in Iraqi political decision-making.
Of course, the will of the people and the marja’iyyah (religious authorities) and the Islamic Resistance of Iraq are also effective and despite all the interventions of the United States, this is a democratic country. However, those who are now at the helm of the government have not gotten there through elections and we hope that the upcoming elections will change the political scene in Iraq.
In the past, the Islamic Resistance revolted against the United States and forced the occupiers to leave Iraq, where they had hundreds of thousands of troops but in the end, they begged for a safe exit from Iraq. Even now, the United States cannot impose a new situation on Iraq and victory is not far off.
It has been reported that the al-Nujaba movement in Syria has moved towards the Golan Heights on the border with occupied Palestine. Can you confirm this news?
We consider it our religious duty to help the Palestinian Islamic Resistance in the face of the Zionist regime and we have this intention. Therefore, we will move whenever it is ordered.
As for such news, I must say that the positions and actions of al-Nujaba are expressed by the secretary-general, the official spokesman, or the chairman of the political council of the movement and nothing else expresses our opinion.
As an Islamic Resistance group, we are hopeful and prepared to take an active part in this battle with our weapons that reach deep into the occupied territories.
Due to acts of sedition, we are worried about the Popular Mobilization Forces in Iraq. Also, whenever a revolutionary government comes to power in Iraq, it overthrows the Sadrist Movement. Tell us about the role of the Sadrist Movement.
The destruction of the Popular Mobilization Forces is natural because this popular institution has thwarted the plans of the United States and the marginalized Arab regimes – plans that cost billions of dollars to change the shape of the region and keep the Zionist regime alive longer.
As for the Sadrist Movement, we must distinguish between the leadership and the supporters of this movement. The Sadrist Movement is an irregular movement that anyone can claim to be a supporter of.
Part of the Iraqi government’s problems stems from the former regime and part is the product of mismanagement. Therefore, it is natural that protests take place and some infiltrators enter the wave of protests and eventually the government is overthrown but the leader of the Sadrist Movement has not taken any action against the Popular Mobilization Forces.
What is al-Nujaba’s position towards the countries that have normalized relations with Israel?
We differentiate between mercenary governments and the Arab people and we do not consider these countries as enemies but rather we consider the compromising governments as mercenaries and traitors who are the stooges of Israel and the United States and the enemies of their people.
According to American plans, does the al-Nujaba movement have a plan for the younger generation?
Our young generation has been the target of American embassy programs from the beginning. It should be noted that rare voices are usually heard more but this does not mean that they are the voice of the majority.
If people today attack the Islamic Resistance, Iran, the marja’iyyah and religious beliefs on satellite channels, it does not mean that the Iraqi people think this way. Iraqis are a religious nation, and we receive thousands of people requesting to be sent to Palestine every day. Just like on the anniversary of the martyrdom of the commanders of the Islamic Resistance (Major General Qasem Soleimani and Haj Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis), we witnessed the large presence of the Iraqi people in their ceremony commemorating their martyrdoms.
We have cultural programs for the young generation in different governorates of Iraq and most of the members and supporters of al-Nujaba are young people.
What legal action has been taken in the case of the assassination of the martyred commanders of the Islamic Resistance?
The first step was to approve a plan to expel foreign troops, which the Iraqi government formally conveyed to the United States.
Lawsuits were also filed in Iraqi courts and former American President Donald Trump was prosecuted in Iraqi courts. Efforts are also being made to file complaints against American officials in the courts of other countries.
Martyr Soleimani was apparently a guest in Iraq but, in fact, he was from this house. We promised that there would be no American troops on Iraqi soil and we started targeting American military positions. Anti-American operations are increasing daily and in the near future, these forces will be completely expelled from our country.
Do you predict that the current war against the Gaza Strip will lead to a ceasefire? How much do you hope that armed actions will increase in the West Bank?
The result of this battle, whether there is a ceasefire or not, the previous equations have changed and no Zionist is safe in the occupied territories.
This conflict was the beginning of the decline of Israel and I am certain that the Islamic Resistance will spread throughout the occupied territories and will reach other parts of Palestine as soon as the weapons reach the Gaza Strip.
Given the establishment of the Front for the Liberation of the Golan by al-Nujaba, what role does this brigade play in the 2021 Palestinian war? And what is your prediction about Netanyahu’s fate?
Iraq’s al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement is ready to cooperate in any form on all fronts against the Zionist regime if it receives an official request from the Palestinian Islamic Resistance groups. Palestine is their land and we cannot enter their battlefield without coordination and official invitation. As for the “Golan,” we have sufficient preparation and facilities to target the depth of the occupied territories and inflict painful blows on the Zionist enemy. Of course, the people of that area must also agree.
Our dream is to participate in anti-Zionist operations, and if necessary, we will be present in Lebanon, the Golan Heights or the Gaza Strip.
Regarding Netanyahu, I must point out that we rely on God and we are not in favour of negotiating with the Zionist regime as to whether or not a right-wing government comes to power.
In conclusion, the spokesman of the al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement, while appreciating the Islamic Republic of Iran for its constant support of the Islamic Resistance, said, “Today, the flag of the defence of the oppressed is in the hands of the Supreme Leader and we pray that his life will be prolonged. We hope to be steadfast in the path of Imam Khomeini, Martyr Sadr, Martyr Sayyed Abbas Mousavi, Martyr Hemmat and Martyr Soleimani and offer the prayer of victory together in al-Quds.”
