AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): According to the Communication and Media Affairs Centre of al-Nujaba in Iran, the American think tank “The Washington Institute for Near East Policy” issued a report by Hamdi Malik in which it described the media outlets of the al-Nujaba Movement as part of a propaganda campaign against the government of the United States in the Arab world.
Reiterating the claim that Iraqi Islamic Resistance groups and their media outlets follow Tehran’s policies, the author cites al-Nujaba TV, al-Nujaba’s satellite television channel, as well as other active media outlets in cyberspace as examples and makes them subordinate to Iran’s Quds Force.
The report notes that al-Nujaba has been active on social media, including Telegram, and stated, “They call on the Iraqi youth to send pictures and information about the movements of the coalition forces in this country so that they can use it to spread targeted news and cover the anti-American attacks in this country.” (This is in reference to a video of a military helicopter landing and landing at the United States embassy in Baghdad and pictures of the observation of the occupying soldiers at the Ayn al-Asad Airbase, which was published by the media of the al-Nujaba Movement)
Expressing dissatisfaction with the impact of the media outlets of the Islamic Resistance on public opinion due to the vast and cheap capacity of cyberspace, the Washington Institute called on the government of the United States to redouble its efforts to counter its propaganda machine and resort to sanctions, just as he has previously put the name of the al-Nujaba Movement on its list of terrorist-supporting entities.
It should be noted that despite the Westerners’ constant reliance on the deceptive slogan of “freedom of speech,” the fact that a well-known think tank has formally and openly called for the suppression of the media attributed to the al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement in its own way.
It is recalled that so far, the three main websites of the al-Nujaba Movement have been blocked and confiscated by direct order of the United States government. Dozens of main or affiliated accounts of the movement have also been taken down by the social networks Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc., following Washington’s sanctions instructions.
