American man kicks, abuses Muslim employee woman in JFK airport

A Massachusetts man has been charged with hate crimes after he allegedly kicked, verbally abused and threatened a Muslim female airline employee at the Delta Sky Lounge at New York's John F Kennedy International Airport on Wednesday (25 January)

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - A Massachusetts man screamed that President Trump would “get rid of all of you” during an assault on a Muslim airline employee inside John F. Kennedy Airport this week, authorities said.

Robin Rhodes, 57, of Worcester, arrived at the airport from Aruba and was waiting for his connecting flight to Massachusetts on Wednesday night when he spotted Delta worker Rabeeya Khan wearing a hijab while working in her office, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said Thursday.

Rhodes stalked up to the office door and started cursing at Khan, demanding to know if she was praying, Brown said.

He allegedly slammed the door with his fist, causing it to fly open and hit the back of Khan’s chair.

When Khan asked what she ever did to him, Rhodes gave a snarling reply: “You did nothing.” He then allegedly kicked her in the leg.

Khan tried to walk away, but Rhodes shadowed her and, at one point, got down on his knees to imitate a Muslim praying, Brown said.

Rhodes then shouted: “Trump is here now. He will get rid of all of you. You can ask Germany, Belgium and France about these kind of people. You see what happens,” the district attorney said.

Cops arrested Rhodes and charged him with assault, menacing and hate crimes.

He faces up to four years in prison if found guilty of the multiple hate crime charges filed against him that includes assault, unlawful imprisonment, menacing and harassment. He is currently awaiting his arraignment at the Queens Criminal Court.
