AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The success of Islamic centers in Western countries depends on practicing teachings of the Quran and Ahl al-Bayt (AS), says Grand Ayatollah Abdollah Javadi Amoli.
In a meeting with a group of students and directors of Islamic centers in Germany on Monday, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli pointed out the importance of strong faith, adherence to the teachings of the Quran and the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), and active engagement in guiding others.
"Success in managing Islamic centers depends on a strong connection with God and practicing the teachings of the Quran and the Ahl al-Bayt. Learn these teachings, act upon them, and teach them to others," he said.
He noted that many people in Western societies possess an innate inclination toward Islam but lack access to divine knowledge. "Guide them through your knowledge and actions. Be their mentors and lead them toward salvation," he added.
Addressing the responsibilities of Muslim youth in Western countries, the senior cleric highlighted the Quranic principle of fulfilling commitments. "As long as others honor their commitments, you must honor yours. This reflects Islamic rationality and respect for principles. Muslim youth must respect the laws of their host countries while living with wisdom, piety, and adherence to Islamic teachings," he stated.
Ayatollah Javadi Amoli also underscored the central role of knowledge in human progress, stating, "There is no such thing as non-Islamic knowledge. Knowledge becomes Islamic when it identifies the truth and aligns with divine purpose. True knowledge encompasses the origin, internal structure, and ultimate purpose of creation."
Criticizing certain aspects of Western science, he remarked, "Scientists who neglect the connection between knowledge, the origin of existence, and its purpose produce fragmented knowledge. Such knowledge results in catastrophic outcomes, like world wars and humanitarian crises in places like Gaza."
