In a display of solidarity and compassion, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his deep condolences to the people of Iran following the tragic explosion in Bandar Abbas that claimed several lives.
AhlulBayt News Agency: In a phone conversation with PM Modi, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian strongly condemned the terror attack in the Indian Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and conveyed his condolences for the victims.
On the other hand, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also conveyed heartfelt sympathy for the victims of the Shahid Rajaee port explosion, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
Both leaders reaffirmed the importance of standing united against acts of terrorism, emphasizing that no justification could ever be found for such heinous acts. PM Modi, while extending his condolences for the loss of innocent lives, assured President Pezeshkian that India remains committed to confronting terrorism with determination and resolve.
In an X post, Randhir Jaiswal, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, India, wrote:
"Both leaders agreed that there could be no justification for such acts of terror and that all those who believe in humanity must stand together in the fight against terrorism. The PM shared the anger and anguish of the people of India and their resolve to deal with those behind the terror attack and their supporters firmly and decisively. The PM also conveyed his condolences for the loss of lives in the explosion in Bandar Abbas today and wished a speedy recovery for those injured."
The phone call also reflected the close cooperation between the two nations in tackling common challenges such as terrorism, while fostering mutual respect and support during moments of crisis. India's deep concern for the victims in Bandar Abbas was clearly reflected in the message of solidarity shared by PM Modi, underscoring the strong bonds of friendship and cooperation between India and Iran.
