AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iran's President expressed condolences over the passing of Ayatollah Haj Sheikh Muhammad Asif Mohseni, Leader of the Shi'ite Religious Council of Afghanistan, to the Afghan nation and his family.
In the letter of condolences that was sent on Tuesday, Dr Hassan Rouhani wrote, “The passing of Ayatollah Haj Sheikh Muhammad Asif Mohseni, the Leader of the Shi'ite Religious Council of Afghanistan, caused great grief and sorrow”.
“This pious cleric spent his fruitful life promoting the teachings of Islam and training prominent students, leaving a very bright memory of himself,” he wrote.
The President added, “I would like to offer my condolences over his passing to seminaries, the pious people of the friendly, brotherly Afghan nation, his students, followers, and especially his respectful family”.
