AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Engineer ash-Shimmar said that the presence of the foreign military forces in Iraq isn’t lawful and addressing American officials, warned, “Take your military forces out of Iraq and close your embassy of a thousand staff, otherwise we will expel you.”
According to the report of al-Nujaba’s Centre for Relations and Media Affairs in Iran, the spokesman of al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance, having a trip to Iran in order to visit some religious, state and military figure of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on Monday night attended in Panorama program of al-Alam TV channel.
During the program, regarding the attack against the bases of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization forces (IPMF) in Amerli, engineer Nasr ash-Shimmari said, “The report of the IPMF points to an explosion in the base. The IPMF’s forces and bases were the targets of foreign attacks for several times in the past; as an instance, Americans attacked the site of al-Nujaba’s operations when Tikrit liberation operations were being carried out.”
He continued, “American have repeatedly threatened that they won’t let the IPMF attend in the regions they are based. And usually, they pretend that their attacks against the IPMF were caused by some wrong information or calculation errors. The US is experiencing the worst political conditions and it is likely to carry out similar crazy acts again.”
Calling the US attacks of the IPMF against the will of the Iraqi nation, al-Nujaba’s spokesman added, “This Organisation was formed following the Fatwa of the sources of emulation and in accordance with an Act passed by the Iraqi parliament, and it is a part of Iraq’s system of security. The US is so hostile that it has inserted Sunni and Christian commanders of the IPMF, together with Shiite commanders, into its sanction list.”
Stressing that the time of “targeting and escaping” is over, ash-Shimmari stated, “The hands of the Islamic Resistance are full for giving proper responses to the US and the Zionists. Currently, we only use political options. The bill on the retreatment of the US forces’ from Iraq was presented to the Iraqi Parliament, however, the speaker has put it aside. And we are following up this plan through pressing the Parliament by the public thought.”
Pointing to the power and enhanced capabilities of the IPMF, he explained, “Pressing the IPMF is not good for the country, and in case such pressures continue to be exerted, we will attempt to sever the links of our country with Washington and to expel the US ambassador from Baghdad.”
Concerning the recent order of the Iraqi prime minister, the deputy secretary-general of al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance said, “The order isn’t about the IMPF’s merging with the army or the Interior Ministry. However, many clauses of this order have come to effect up to this point and the IPMF executes the orders of the commander of the Iraqi military forces immediately, as it did in its retreatment from Kirkuk and Tikrit.”
Engineer ash-Shimmari further mentioned, “The IPMF is under the command of a board associated with the prime minister, similar to the military forces of the Organization for the Fight against Terrorism and the Iraqi Intelligence Service that act independently and without any connection to the Defence and Interior Ministries.”
Then, he reiterated, “Those countries that didn’t come to help us when a third of Iraq was occupied by the ISIS have no right to express worries on the IPMF. The IPMF guarantees the security of Iraq.”
In another part of the talk to al-Alam TV channel, the top-rank member of al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance elaborated, “The IPMF, as a part of the Iraqi military forces, has no economic or business activity. Those members of the IPMF who sought to enter the field of policy have resigned from the organization.”
Referring to the continual threats of the US, ash-Shimmari maintained, “It is our right to observe the military bases of the US in our own land. The presence of the American forces in Iraq is not lawful, and any military force should enter or leave Iraq by the permission of the Parliament.”
Finally, addressing Americans, he warned, “Take your military forces out of Iraq and close your embassy of a thousand staff, otherwise we will expel you.”
