Foreign Muslim girls visit Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A group of eighty young girls from France, Tanzania and Madagascar paid a visit to the Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine to promote the culture of chastity and Hijab.

Invited by the Astan Quds Razavi Department of Non-Iranian Pilgrims' Affairs, they enjoyed special cultural and religious programs, given a chance to visit the Central Museum of the holy shrine and participated in a specialized meeting about Islamic Hijab.

On the sidelines of visiting the museum, Fatima Sami Musa from Madagascar, said: “I was able to visit the holy shrine for the first time; however, many of the Shia Muslims in my country only wish to visit this holy shrine given their difficult situation.”

She stated that the feeling of pilgrimage cannot be described in words, adding: “Surely, our presence in the holy shrine will bring us other benefits besides pilgrimage. The pilgrimage and enjoyment of its blessings are personal, but more importantly are promoting the Islamic Hijab and preserving the chastity and purity of the Muslim woman.”

Clarifying the Islamic veil, Fatima Sami Musa said: “Hijab symbolizes chastity and it is one of the unique values for a Muslim woman, which leads to purity of heart and it is an introduction to own a healthy heart.”

She added: "Imam Reza (AS) is gracious and his kindness encompasses all the Muslims of the world, but it is our duty to convey the message and mission of Imam Reza (AS) to the world to help believers live a better life."

The young lady further stated that the treasures and museums of Astan Quds Razavi were impressive. "The museum keeps historical collections in itself that are the fruit of centuries of protection and preservation."
