A group of Lebanese Shiites attend Imam Reza (AS) Holy Shrine

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A group of Shiites of Lebanon Imam Khomeini (R.A.) Relief Committee visited the Holy Shrine of the eighth Imam (A.S.).

The group benefited the special cultural programs organized by the Management of Non-Iranian Pilgrims’ Affairs of Astan Quds Razavi at the Ghadir Portico.

Hujjat al-Islam Abdul Hussein Ja’fari, the religious expert, lectured on the virtues of Imam Reza (A.S.) among this group of pilgrims and said, “Imam Reza (A.S.) spared no effort in solving the problems of people and helped the needy secretly and openly just like his noble forefathers.”

Referring to the miracles of Imam Reza (A.S.), he said, “Many pilgrims of the eighth Imam (A.S.) are blessed with his endless generosity by attending his Holy Shrine.”

Recounting the Imam Reza’s (A.S.) travel from Medina to Merv, he said, “One of the tricks Ma'mun in the face of public discontent and quelling the rebellion was to invite Imam Reza (A.S.) from Medina to Khorasan so that he could give legitimacy to his caliphate.”

“The path of the Imam (A.S.) from Medina to Khorasan had been designed in a way to avoid any possible reaction of the Shiites and Alawites, and accordingly Ma'mun ordered that his holiness evade the Shiite cities so that the emotions of their people would not be triggered”, he added.

Recitation of Qur’an, Aminullah pilgrimage prayer, religious speech, visiting the central museum, performing congregational prayers, holding cultural contest, dedication of cultural gifts, etc. were among the programs prepared for these pilgrims.

It is noted that this group of pilgrims after doing pilgrimage and using the special programs were served at the Imam Reza’s (A.S.) banquet house.
