AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A group of Russian Sunni pilgrims paid a visit to the Razavi Holy Shrine.
A 10-person group from Sunni Muslims of Russia who had come to Mashhad attended at Razavi Holy Shrine’s Dar al-Rahmah and takes the advantage of programs provisioned by Astan Quds Razavi’s Management of Non-Iranian Pilgrims’ Affairs.
Genar Waslof, deputy of Shia related Islamic institute of “Anar Khazrat” who was accompanying this group and visiting the shrine for the third time, stated, "These people had no familiarity with Shia; therefore, we could give them some good information through a cooperation with Astan Quds Razavi. This action led them to have more information regarding Shia Islam and it produced good feedback among them".
He reiterated, "Great respect and attention paid to this group of pilgrims by Razavi Holy Shrine’s servants and also the services and facilities given to these Sunni Muslims conveyed a very good and pleasant feeling to this group; we are so happy to reach to our goal which was to introduce Shia religious places".
This Russian pilgrim added, "Whenever I come to the pilgrimage of Imam Reza (A.S.) and holy city of Mashhad, the story of our trip becomes different and unbelievable and we experience different situations in each trip".
Expressing a memory from his first trip, he said, "I had a very strange sense in my first visit to Mashhad. The trip was short and the pilgrimage opportunity was also thin. I thought that was my first and last trip to Mashhad when I was saying good bye to Imam Reza (A.S.), so I believed I have to ask him the most important desire of mine".
Waslof went on to say, "I thought a lot about it and I finally came to the conclusion of asking him a second Razavi pilgrimage so that I can introduce this place to those who have no idea of Razavi Holy Shrine. Fortunately this opportunity was achieved and Imam (A.S.) did give me his great favor".
Introducing this trip as group’s first visit to Iran and Razavi Holy Shrine, Akbari, group’s person in charge, said, "Most of these people express their happiness when they encounter with the spiritual and divine situation of the shrine and it is God’s blessing that they get acquainted with the Shia Islam in this place".
He reiterated, "The group visited Isfahan and Tehran and the historical and Islamic attractions of these cities; they are supposed to visit Qom after when they’re finished with Mashhad".
