AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Hujjat al-Islam Seyed Mehdi Khamoushi was put in charge of the country’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization.
Iran’s Culture Minister Seyed Abbas Salehi in a decree appointed him as the new head of the organization.
He replaced Hujjat al-Islam Ali Mohammadi who was in charge of the organization since 2009.
Born in 1962 in Tehran, Hojat-ol-Islam Khamoushi has a PhD in Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) from Shahid Motahhari Higher College.
He previously served as the head of the Islamic Development Organization.
