Opposition media claims one Abu Ali al-Nasir (a.k.a Nader Dihab), an egg salesman native to the Daraa countryside, has ascended the throne to run the ISISs isolated regional polity in southwestern Daraa.
Not much is known about al-Nasir other than he was captured by the so-called Free Syrian Army (FSA) some (unspecified) time ago near the town of Hitt (in Daraa Governorate) and later exchanged back to the ISIS-affiliate group after a prisoner exchange that saw him returned for the release of seven (7) FSA militants.
Announcement of al-Nasir’s promotion to regional ISIS leader comes after his political predecessor was killed in an airstrike (conduct by an unknown air force) several days ago.
