To weaken the terrorist group’s resolve, the Lebanese Army has been pounding the area around the Zamrani Road, inflicting heavy damage on ISIS’s trenches.
“The Lebanese Army is currently shelling ISIS’s positions in the outskirts of Ras Baalbek, using heavy artillery and rocket launchers,” a National News Agency Correspondent said on Tuesday.
In the coming days, the Lebanese Army’s infantry units are expected to launch their ground assault to clear the Ras Ba’albak area and restore control over the Syrian border.
