(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Pourdastan, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army, made the remarks at a local ceremony here on Wednesday.
“The Islamic Revolution’s victory dazzled them (the Americans),” the senior commander noted.
They tried a lot in vain not to let the great Revolution ensure victory, he added.
Before the Islamic Revolution, the US was taking advantage of Iran as the sea border lines in north and south of the country had let the US control the energy route in the region, he underlined.
So, the US did not want to lose such a regional advantage after the Islamic Revolution, Pourdastan noted.
