Kenyan scholar: Takfir terrorizing under name of Islam

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Kenyan participant to 30th International Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran denounced Takfiri (excommunication) groups for moving against the nature of Islam which is peace.

Abbas Juma, member of the organization of Imams in Kenya, on the sideline of 30th International Islamic Unity Conference in the Iranian capital of Tehran calling the event as an opportunity that benefits all Muslims.
 
When asked on the theme of the conference “Islamic Unity and Necessity of Confrontation with Takfir” he said it is the present issue of Muslim world and that the issue should be discussed since the perpetrators of all these crimes call themselves as Muslims.”
 
“Takfir moves contrary to Islam because Islam is the religion of peace and what they (Takfiri groups) bring is against peace; so, the topic, due to the present situation in the world of Islam, is a perfect topic” he noted.
 
Kenyan guest to the Islamic Unity Conference stressed,” Participants to this conference can share their experiences and challenges they have faced by Takfiri groups and then put their minds together for a solution.”
 
Abbas Juma noted,” Probably the solution for Syria may be different from the one applying to my country (Kenya) but sharing our solutions, we will come to a solid solution that can help us when we go back to our country so that we can reach unity and bring Muslims together and see how we can unite them on a mutual understanding.”
 
Kenyan cleric highlighted the mission of participants demanding them to bring up Muslim issues, discuss them before coming to a final solution to tackle the issue of Takfir.
 
Abbas Juma hailed the organizers of the 30th International Islamic Unity Conference, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Iranian authorities and secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki.
 
He expressed satisfaction over what he learnt from other guests from across the globe and vowed to bring the message of the event to his country.
