(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Earlier today, the Takfiri rebels of Faylaq Al-Rahman and Jaysh Al-Islam launched an offensive in the eastern countryside of Damascus, targeting the dilapidated town of Jobar.
Despite their best efforts to surprise the Syrian Armed Forces in Jobar, the Islamist rebels were ultimately repelled the Jobar Garages and Mall in the town's northern sector.
In response to this ceasefire violation by the Islamist rebels, the Syrian Armed Forces launched a counter-offensive inside Jobar, striking Faylaq Al-Rahman's positions near the Tayba Mosque and Teachers Tower.
Clashes are still ongoing at the moment, as the Syrian Armed Forces press the Islamist rebel defenses around the eastern and northern sectors of Jobar.
