AhlulBayt News Agency - The self-proclaimed Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) captured the Muhajarah Base near the T-4 Military Airport on Wednesday after a series of firefights with the Syrian Arab Army’s 525th Regiment of the 18th Tank Division in the eastern countryside of the Homs Governorate.
Following the loss of the Muhajarah Base, the Syrian Armed Forces attempted to rally their troops to recapture this abandoned military installation near the T-4 Airport; however, their counter-attack was eventually repelled by the ISIS terrorists after a two hour long battle on Wednesday evening.
ISIS is now within striking distance of the T-4 Military Airport that harbors not only Syrian Air Force jets, but also, aerial assets that belong to the Russian Air Force; specifically, their MI-28NE attack choppers.
