According to information received to “the Committee for the Defense of Human Rights in the Arabian Peninsula (CDHRAP)”, the authorities at Batha Border Checkpoint, sharing border on the Saudi-UAE border, arrested on 1 May 2014 the Shiite citizen ” Mohannad Ali Salman al Shalab , 21 years ” , on his departure to UAE.
Mohannad al Shalab is a student has been living in the town of Awwamiyah (Al-Qatif Governorate) in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
No one of his family members knows his detention center , nor the reasons behind his detention.
