BDS defuses hand grenade near Iranian consulate in Peshawar

PESHAWAR (Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) on Tuesday defused a hand grenade found near the Iranian consulate in Peshawar.It was found on the railway tracks near the Iranian Consulate in the University Town area during a search operation.A new squad, comprising 29 Frontier Corps (FC) personnel, was deployed in the area early in the morning after yesterday’s suicide attack on the Iranian Consulate which killed three paramilitary soldiers and wounded ten others.A spokesman for militant commander Mast Gul had claimed responsibility of yesterday’s suicide attack.Following the operation today, BDS declared the area clear./129
