Sayyed Ali Fadlullah called establishment of national front for supporting security in Lebanon

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - His Eminence, Sayyed Ali Fadlullah, delivered the two Friday prayer sermons at the Imamain Al-Hassanain Mosque, Rabi 27th 1435 H. – February, 7th 2014. Several prominent religious scholars, dignitaries and thousands of believers attended the Jumu’a prayer.Following is a summary:The First SermonIn the first sermon, His Eminence, Sayyed Ali Fadlullah, talked about corruption. He defined it and elaborated on the grave repercussions of such a sin as mentioned in the Quran. He also explained that besides corruption on earth, there is also a form of corruption at the level of the human soul itself, as well as man’s mind, heart and morals. Moreover, he maintained that corruption reaches drastic levels when the corrupt assume power or any other responsibility such as issuing fatwas.The Sayyed then warned that corruption would be reflected on those who practice it, whether in this life or in the Hereafter. He also noticed that one of the greatest aspects of corruption crystallize when the corrupt present themselves as reformists.Faced with such hypocrisy and its grave results, the Sayyed called for confronting those who poison people’s minds and drive the simple-minded to destabilize the Muslim society, including the Takfiris whom the Sayyed hoped that Allah would guide them to the right path. He added that there is a dire need for the reformists whom Allah have charged with the responsibility of facing corruption, to raise their voices.    The second sermonIn the second sermon, His Eminence, Sayyed Ali Fadlullah, started by condemning the explosion that targeted one of the gas stations of Al-Mabarrat Association in the city of Hirmil. Although its charitable function did not stop those who sent the suicide-bombers, the Sayyed wanted to ask them what the innocent people who were targeted had done and what the moral or religious principles that drove them to adopt such an act were. He also wondered where the values of mercy and compassion that Islam considers as fundamental had gone.The Sayyed added that if they talk about revenge for women and children who fell victims in other locations, then we tell them that we too condemn the targeting of innocent people wherever they are. But did not Allah tell us that only the sinner bears the responsibility of his sin?Moreover, such method is neither  feasible   nor acceptable  to use in order to pressurize a certain party. The Sayyed addressed the Takfiris saying that they ought to go back to their religion and review their calculations, calling for uniting the efforts against the real enemy that is extremely happy to see us killing one another.He also called for the establishment of a broad national front to face this situation and for supporting the security agencies whose efforts are much appreciated.“We feel that there is a dire need to exert more effort to form an inclusive government, since any other government will only create more political tension, providing wide open opportunities to all those who have the intention of destabilizing the country.”The Sayyed then praised the Bkerke Document that emphasized coexistence and the building of the capable and just state. He also called for studying  thoroughly any accusation before making it , for a town or a sect are not responsible for the crime committed by any of its members.The Sayyed warned from the schemes that aim at inciting strife between the Palestinians and expressed his confidence in the Palestinian leadership./149
