Pakistani leaders describe Iran as major power

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Senior Pakistani politicians and members of different segments of society have said that Iran is a major power of the world which has always pursued independent policies. Talking to IRNA separately they praised success of the Islamic Revolution adding that the revolution has been flourishing gloriously for the past 35 years.Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions, Abdul Qadir Baloch said that Islamic Revolution was a great Revolution that brought complete change in Iranian society. “It’s a great day not for the Iranians but for the entire Muslim Ummah,” he said.He added that Iranians have been sticking to their principles which is a great achievement.Baloch to a question said that Iran and Pakistan are close friends and their ties are getting strong with each passing day.Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, Syed Munawar Hassan said that, I would like to congratulate Iran for pursuing independent policies despite many challenges.He advised Iran to remain vigilant against American plots. He said that Islamic Revolution is the outcome of the sacrifices of the people of Iran.“America cannot be friend of any country so Iranians must not allow Americans to come near to them,” said Munawar Hassan.He went on to say that US is an open enemy of Iran so it is my advice to Iran that the country should keep a distance from US.The JI chief said that Iran and Pakistan are close neighbors but there is need to further boost bilateral ties. He viewed there are some elements that are against Iran-Pakistan strong ties.Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Chairman of Senate Defense Committee described Islamic Revolution of Iran as a major event of the history.“I congratulate Supreme Leader, people and the government of Iran on the 35th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution,” he said.He went on to say that the revolution had rooted out the dictatorship from Iran and defeated the imperialist forces.The Senator added that the Islamic Revolution gave a new direction to the Iranian nation. He added that Iran is a role model for the world which is following independent policies. “The Islamic Revolution had defeated the plots of enemies,” said Mushahid Hussain Sayed.Chief of Tehrik-e-Islami Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi congratulated Supreme Leader, people and the government of Iran on the 35th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.He said that Islamic Revolution has shown to the world that Islam is a complete system.Chief of Shia Ulema Council expressing his views said that today the Iranian nation under the leadership of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is making progress in all fields.He said that awakening of Muslim Ummah started from Iran and the people of Iran have successfully defeated the conspiracies of US and enemies against the Islamic Republic.Expressing his views about the recent nuclear deal between Iran and western powers, he said that Iran by following the right path has forced the West to accept the rights of Iran.He added that recent nuclear deal with the western powers is the success of Iran. He viewed that steadfastness of Iran has forced the western countries to change their approach towards Iran.Secretary General of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Senator (R) Iqbal Zafar Jhagra congratulated people and the government of Iran on the 35th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.“We are proud of our relations with Iran,” he said. The politician added that policies of Iran would ensure peace in the region. “If you have brotherly relations with your neighbor it means there would be peace in the region,” he viewed.Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said that Iran is a major power in the region. “Our relationship with Iran would further strengthen,” he said.Former Secretary General of Foreign Affairs and former ambassador Muhammad Akram Zaki said the Islamic Revolution of Iran is more important than any revolution of the world. “In Iran the rights of state and individuals are balanced,” he said. “The Islamic Revolution is based on peaceful Islamic ideology,” he noted.This revolution is historic and has humanist dimensions,” said former diplomat.Zaki added that Iran and Pakistan are two brothers and they should have best of relationship. “We should further develop our relationship,” he said. The analyst said that Iran has always helped Pakistan in times of pain.He said that acquiring nuclear technology is the right of Iran. He went on to say that Iran has wisely tried to defuse the issue but they have preserved their right to acquire the nuclear technology.Senior Vice President of Pakistan Awami Tehreek, Agha Murtaza Poya said the Islamic Revolution has far exceeded the impacts that anybody could imagine. “It will have so much of an impact on the globe because it stands for the Muslims,” he said.The politician said Islamic Revolution is very successful revolution. He said Iran and Pakistan always had a good relationship since the time of creation of Pakistan no matter which government came there.Former Director General of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt General (Retd) Hamid Gul said it’s a great event and we rejoice in Muslim world.He said In Pakistan today everyone is asking for a leader like Imam Khomeini because we need a change. “I admire the leadership of Iran for taking a stand against the Zionist Regime which is the most heinous cause of all the forces that destroy peace of the world,” said the analyst. He said that in western democratic system there can be no change.He said Iran has taken a strong stand against imperialist forces and capitalism which is wonderful.Allama Amin Shaheedi, Deputy Secretary General of Majlis Wehdat Muslemeen (MWM) said that world has not witnessed a successful revolution other than the Islamic Revolution of Iran.He added that Islamic Revolution has shown to the world that an Islamic government is fully capable of addressing the problems of the people.He said that it is very encouraging to see that despite conspiracies of enemies the Islamic Revolution has been flourishing in Iran for past 35 years. The MWM leader said that progress of Iran is the success of the Islamic Revolution.Allama Amin Shaheedi condemning the attack on Iranian border guards said no doubt that Zionist Regime and some Arab countries are behind such attacks and their objective is to light the force of sectarianism in Pakistan.Managing Director of ‘Such Tv’ Allama Syed Iftikhar Hussain Naqvi said that Islamic Revolution had defeated the imperialist forces and ended the influence of US in the region. “Today Iran holds key position in the region,” he said.He added that Islamic Revolution had undermined the conspiracies of US and enemies. He said that despite all challenges the Islamic Revolution has been flourishing for past 35 years.The analyst said that Iran has not compromised its integrity in nuclear deal with the western powers. He said that Iran under the teachings of Imam Khomeini and guidance of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is progressing in all sectors.He strongly condemned the abduction of five Iranian border guards by Jaishul Adl and asked the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Pakistani government to cooperate with Iran to investigate the matter. He added that objective of such attacks is to create misunderstanding between Iran and Pakistan.Zaid Haimd a senior defence analyst said that the Islamic Revolution of Iran is a major event of the history that had changed the fate of entire Iranian nation.He said the relationship between Iran and Pakistan was actually defined by Pakistani philosopher and national poet Allama Iqbal already when he had mentioned that if Tehran becomes the Geneva of the nations of the East it might change the destiny of the region.“Iran is our brother and we share everything with Iran, our honor and our future,” he said. He added that as far as Iran and Pakistan are concerned they share common destiny. The analyst warned that today newcons and Zionists are reshaping the Middle East so Iran and Pakistan have no choice but to stand united.He went on to say that the recent nuclear deal is a brilliant and fantastic move by Iran. He added that Iranians have defeated the western powers through diplomacy. “Muslim world should learn from Iran how diplomacy can be used to achieve strategic advantages,” said Zaid Haimd. /129
