Iran unveils new home-built satellites

Iran unveiled two satellites designed by Iranian researchers at Malek Ahtar University on Monday concurrent with the country's National Space Technology.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Iran unveiled two satellites designed by Iranian researchers at Malek Ahtar University on Monday concurrent with the country's National Space Technology.

The satellites are dubbed "Tadbir' (wisdom) and 'Khalij-e-Fars' (Persian Gulf). Persian Gulf satellite is compatible with the ground-based wireless connections and provides satellite wireless communication services in a secure way. It covers national and regional areas.

It is also equipped with small and little functional terminals which can be used in emergency cases and natural disasters.

Persian Gulf satellite can be used for establishing secure communications and covers SMS services inside and outside Iranian borders.

Also home-made 'Tadbir' satellite is the developed version of 'Navid-e-Elm-o-Sanaat' (The promise of Science and Industry) satellite which has the capability of taking photos with better resolution and can receive messages from 16 users. The satellite whose mass totals 50 kg can find GPS in space.
