(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - At least 14 people were killed when three car bombs exploded in public markets early on Monday in the Shi'ite provinces of Amara and Diywaniya in southern Iraq, medics and police sources said.

The casualties of the car bomb explosion in Diwaniya o Monday morning climbed up to 29 deaths and injuries.
The chairman of the Security Committee within Diwaniya Provincial Council Karim Zaghair reported that “The number of the casualties due to the car bombing that hit Thawra Street of central Diwaniya reached four deaths and 25 injuries,” noting that “Initial investigations showed that the car bomb was Daewoo saloon type.”
A car bomb exploded on Monday early morning in central Diwaniya city, killing and injuring many persons.
Details of Maysan double bombing
A source from Maysan Civil Defense revealed the details of the two car bombs that exploded in central Amara city of Maysan province.
The source mentioned on Monday “A car bomb (Hyundai type) was loaded with a large amount of explosives, targeted a gathering for about 80 cleaning labors in 28th Sector area of central Amara city, while another car bomb (Kia type) was detonated about 100 meters from the location of the first car bomb near a local market.”
“The two explosions resulted in killing 10 civilians and injuring 12 others as initial count according to Civil Defense Department of Maysan,” the source added.
