(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Grand Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, participated in Islamic unity conference in Baghdad inviting grand Ayatollah Bashir Najafi, top Iraqi jurisprudent to attend the first meeting of Muslim World Peace Committee.Iranian cleric, in this meeting highlighted the achievements of the 26th International Muslim Unity Conference held in Tehran and expressed his gratitude for the message sent by Iraqi cleric for the meeting.He referred to the decision to launch the Union of Resistance Scholars and formation of a peace committee to discuss the issues of Muslim world as two achievements of the annual Islamic unity conference held in World Muslim Unity Week in Tehran.This professor at Qom Seminary said the first meeting of Muslim World Peace Committee will be held in the Beirut to discuss the solutions to the crisis in some Muslim countries inviting Iraqi figure to attend the conference.Senior cleric from Iraq stressed the importance of Islamic proximity activities.He referred to the present issues in different Islamic countries including Pakistan, Bahrain, Iraq and Syria and said,” Now that the enemies of Islam are injecting the cleansing of Shia Muslims to the world, Islamic Republic of Iran has to support the Shia community, particularly Pakistani Shia.” and referred to the increasing enthusiasm of the Shia Muslims to the Iran.The Iraqi scholar announced the preparation of his representatives to attend the first conference of Muslim World Peace Committee, praising the efforts of Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and sending his regards for the Supreme Leader of the Islamic revolution, grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.Formation of the Muslim World Peace Committee was among the decisions made at 26th International Islamic Unity Conference, held in Tehran back in late January. /129
