Shia scholar slams religious extremism in Saudi education centers

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Hujjat-ol-Islam Seyyed Hashem al Salman, Shia orator at al Ahsa Mosque, expressed concern over tension and extremist religious reactions at schools and demanded the authorities to confront the phenomenon.He added,” If the tensions continue and the authorities do not take measures against the issue, then we would not keep silent against disrespect to our ideas and rights.”Saudi Shia cleric also forbade any sacrilegious move towards other Islamic denominations and stressed the importance of unity among Muslim communities.Religious prejudices and extremist behavior in some Saudi schools have increased during the past weeks. /129
