Tehran’s Interim Friday Prayers Leader Hojjatoleslam Kazem Seddiqi says the recent victory of Gazans against the Israeli regime in the eight-day war was a victory for all Muslims.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - “When the Zionists attacked Gaza and were met by the [Palestinian] resistance’s missile defense, their Iron Dome was shattered and they once again realized that no power can protect itself against the will of God,” the senior Iranian cleric added.

Ayatollah Seddiqi pointed out that, “All the people of the world saw how this usurper regime (Israel) attacked Gaza from ground, air and sea and [witnessed] how countless children were martyred.”

Over 160 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed and about 1,200 others were injured in the Israeli attacks on Gaza that were carried out from November 14 to 21.According to the Israeli military, more than 1,500 targets were hit across the Palestinian territory. In retaliation, the Palestinian resistance fighters incessantly fired rockets and missiles into Israeli cities, killing at least five Israelis. The violence ended after the Israeli regime and the Palestinian Hamas resistance movement agreed to an Egyptian-brokered cease-fire on November 21.The Iranian cleric further slammed the silence of international community and organizations claiming to be advocates of human rights in the face of the criminal acts of the Israeli regime in the Gaza Strip.“The Double standards of these organizations…with regards to the issue of Gaza revealed that they are not popular organizations and are affiliated to the Israeli regime and its supporters,” added the senior cleric.Seddiqi concluded that, the eight-day Gaza war has once again shown that “there is no way to fight bullies and murderers but resistance and authoritative defense.”
