The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) has placed many street plaques on the walls of Arab historical sites near the Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem inscribed with alleged Hebrew names as well as hints claiming the so-called temple of Solomon was once in the area.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) has placed many street plaques on the walls of Arab historical sites near the Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem inscribed with alleged Hebrew names as well as hints claiming the so-called temple of Solomon was once in the area.

Specialist in Jerusalem affairs Fakhri Abu Diyab told Quds Press that these fabricated street address signs were placed on the walls of Palestinian historical sites in the northern part of Silwan district, a few meters away from the southern wall of the Aqsa Mosque.

Abu Diyab added that these signs contained Jewish names instead of the genuine Arab names of historical sites and streets of Jerusalem, including misleading hints claiming that these names were given to Jewish sites that had existed in the (alleged) second temple period.

The specialist strongly denounced Israel's attempt to falsify the history of the holy city and brainwash visitors and tourists.

He warned that this Israeli action is aimed at erasing the truth and Judaizing the Arab-Muslim identity of the holy city and its historical sites.

The expert noted that such fraud against the history of Jerusalem is taking place in full view of the whole world, especially the UNESCO which has voiced no position against it so far.
