(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Residents of Gaza celebrated the Eid al-Adha, after a two-day escalation by the occupation on the Strip, and the killing of five citizens and wounding of others.
Citizen Ibrahim Muslim, 33, from Gaza City told "Quds Press": "We have become used to Israeli brutal attacks, but we will enjoy the Eid in spite of all the challenges."
In turn, Daoud Mousa, 23, from the central governorate noted that the Israeli escalation and aggression on the Gaza Strip proved the state of internal crisis it has been witnessing with its upcoming elections.
Moussa also pointed out to "Quds Press" that the visit of Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani to Gaza and the start of reconstruction projects represent a historic and courageous step to break the siege imposed since six years on the Strip.
The Emir of Qatar had visited the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, accompanied by his wife as well as Qatari and Egyptian ministers and officials, and launched a number of economic projects to break the siege, at a cost of $400 million.
Dr. Salah Bardawil, a Hamas leader said that "the occupation expressed through the escalation its indignation and outrage because of the successful visit held by the Emir of Qatar to Gaza.

He said that the historic visit of His Highness the Emir of Qatar confused the decision-makers in Israel, leading the occupation to escalate its aggression, to prevent the entry of Qatari diesel and to Close the commercial crossings.
For his part, former minister in the Palestinian government in Gaza Mohamed Ramadan Agha said that the Palestinian people has been used to the occupation's attacks that increase with Muslims holidays, stressing that the people will remain steadfast until defeating the occupation.
