‘Daily Times’ in its report said that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has accused the West of “lying” over its offer to lift sanctions in return for Iran furnishing guarantees to back its claims that its atomic programme is intended for civilian purposes only.

He argued that his country has been targeted by sanctions since the 1979 Islamic revolution for its “independence and resistance” against world powers.
Pakistan state television said that Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei terms European countries as foolish for supporting sanctions against Tehran.
He said Europeans are facing far more complicated economic problems.
