(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - President “Milli Yakjehti Council “ and former Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Qazi Hussain Ahmed has said that the council is working for unity of the religious parties in the country and the entity and usefulness of MMA was admitted at the time of establishment of the council, adding that there should be way forward for the revival of the MMA.
He said that the council has announced to hold international Ummah unity conference (IUUC) on November 11 and 12 for giving a message of unity among Muslim Ummah on the international level.
The prominent religious leaders and personalities including “Imam-e- Kahba” from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Sudan, Turkey, Tunisia, and Iran and from the country would be invited to participate in the conference.
He said that a special committee headed by him has been constituted for making contacts for this purpose, adding that the conference would be held at the convention centre in Islamabad.
He said that consultation with regard to holding the conference was made with JI Ameer Syed Munawar Hassan, President Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan Dr. Sabzada Abu Ul kher Zubair, Chief of Jamatud Dawa Hafiz Saeed and other religious leaders and they have assured their cooperation for the conference.
These decisions were made on Wednesday in the special meeting of the Central Executive Committee of the Council. It was also decided in the meeting to invite in the conference the religious leaders and representatives of the Rabita Alam-e-Islami, Motmir Alam-e-Islami and other international Islamic movements.
While addressing a press conference along with Sajid Naqvi and Hafiz Hussain Ahmed, Qazi Hussain Ahmed said that the purpose of their efforts is to bring the Ummah on the common platform, adding that there have been incidents of blasphemy of Quran and the sacred personalities and Islamic sacred places. He said that the sacrilegious figures are committing untoward acts against Islam one after the other and the council wants to bring the Muslim Ummah towards unity.
He said that the council wants to convey the message of action according to the teachings of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
He said that love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) demands that the Muslim Ummah should be awakened and brought under the Shariah which was given to us by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
He said that the recommendations for one congregational address in the mosques have been formed. He said the movement for implementations of the recommendations of the Islamic Ideology Council would have to be launched. He said that the agenda of the conference is quite extensive.
