(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Deputy Minister of Syrian Foreign Affairs Fayssal Mekdad stressed that "the Turkish government led by Recep Tayyip Erdogan deserves to be placed on the list of international terrorism."
"It must be punished for its support for al-Qaeda and for opening the doors and borders to Wahhabi groups to infiltrate into Syria so that they are able to commit crimes against its people," the Syrian official said.
In an interview with the Syrian television, Mekdad confirmed that "the Turkish government's hands are stained hands with the blood of the Syrians, and the Turkish people will hold their government responsible because of their miserable failing policy."
"This policy does not serve the Turkish interests, which offers free services to the United States and" Israel" by suppressing the people's freedom and supports terrorism in the region," he added.
Mekdad further noted that "the majority of the Turkish people stand against the policies of the " Justice and Development" government."
"The Turkish people flooded into the streets and expressed solidarity with Syria and its people and stood against Erdogan's killings of the Syrians," he said and asserted that "Syria will remain steadfast against the Turkish and Wahhabi terrorist attacks crossing the borders."
