(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani censured certain foreign states for aggravated conditions in Syria, saying the former's radical policies should be blamed for intensified crisis in the Muslim nation.
"Adoption of radical policies by certain regional countries has intensified and spread the crisis in Syria," Larijani said at a meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Eduard Nalbandian here in Tehran on Saturday.
"But if the present trend continues, the flames of crisis will set them themselves on fire," he warned.
On Iran-Armenia ties, Larijani hailed the two nations' relations and cooperation as "good" and "progressive", and reiterated the necessity for accelerating joint development and infrastructural projects in area of road building, rail construction and energy projects.
"Implementing these projects will provide new opportunities for the expansion and development of friendly cooperation between the two countries," Larijani said.
Nalbandian praised the successful arrangement and holding of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit in Tehran as a great achievement for the Islamic Republic.
He also hailed Iran-Armenia political and parliamentary ties as "friendly", and said exchange of visits by political officials and parliamentary friendship groups would help further bolster friendly exchanges and ties between the two states.
