Hamas MP dies of brain stroke

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Hamas MP Jamal Eskeik has died of a brain stroke in Gaza afternoon Saturday after a few days in ICU in the Shifa hospital.Skeik, 66, was admitted to hospital last Tuesday night and appeared recovering when he suddenly died on Saturday.The lawmaker, who was born in Gaza in 1946, was married and had seven children. He had a BS in engineering from Al-Azhar university in Cairo.Skeik was a lecturer before his election as MP and occupied many posts in the Gaza municipality and a number of ministries in addition to being a co-founder of the Gaza engineering syndicate. He was a member of the Palestinian legislative council’s Jerusalem committee and the security and interior committee./129
