Egypt stressed that marking the Land Day will be a reminder to all parties of the need for taking a serious and prompt action to end the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian lands.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr stressed Saturday 31/3/2012 that marking the Land Day will be a reminder to all parties of the need for taking a serious and prompt action to end the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian lands and to establish an independent Palestinian state with al-Quds as its capital.

Amr was commenting on deadly clashes that took place Friday 30/3/2012 in the occupied Palestinian lands on the occasion of the Land Day.

The Egyptian official said the suppression policy that is adopted by Israel, does not provide a solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. The only solution lies in the political settlement, added Amr.
