Grand cleric praised Iran's capability in downing US spying air craft saying that the World will better understand capability of Iranian young scientists.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Grand Ayatollah Hussein Noori Hamedani at a meeting with a group of Iranian military commanders hailed Iran's capability to down American spying aircraft.

"They (US officials) never guessed Iran's capability to down their stealth aircraft with minimum damage," said the jurisprudent.

He referred to the qualifications of Iranian scientists to access the information in aircraft and stressed, "Enemies will know the greatness of Iranian nation and capabilities of the scientists in the Islamic Republic of Iran."

He said enemies have to know that we are inspired by the reviving teachings of Imam Hussein (AS), third Shia Imam and grandson of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), and will maintain our way.

Senior cleric counted having true faith, bravery and belief in jurisprudence as some of the most important lessons of Ashura and added," A nation with Ashura culture does not need A-Bombs".

Ayatollah Noori Hamedani also referred to the Islamic Awakening in different countries to be motivated by the Islamic Revolution in Iran and said the positive effects of the move by Iranian nation will spread to the whole world.

Iranian Army's electronic warfare unit on December 4 downed with minimum damage the US RQ-170 Sentinel stealth aircraft which was flying over the eastern city of Kashmar, some 225km (140 miles) from the Afghan border.

Iran has announced that it intends to carry out reverse engineering on the captured RQ-170 Sentinel stealth aircraft, which is also known as the Beast of Kandahar, and is similar in design to a US Air Force B-2 stealth bomber.
