Jewish settlers attack olive harvesters

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Jewish settlers attacked Palestinian farmers in Awarta village, southeast of Nablus, on Sunday while reaping their olive harvest, eyewitnesses reported.They said that the settlers of the Itamar settlement assaulted the farmers and tried to block their work.For his part, Ghassan Daghlas, monitoring settlement activity in northern West Bank areas, warned of growing settlers’ attacks in the few coming days especially in areas near to their settlements as the olive harvesting season approaches.He pointed out that a similar attack was recorded in a Qalqilia village as settles had reportedly stolen harvested olives./129
