(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Secretary General of the International Ahl al- Bayt (as) World Assembly said the plan of the independent state of Palestine proposed in the UN is not acceptable.“If the UN approves the plan of the Independent State of Palestine, this project would not be acceptable by Palestinian people, the resistance movement and Muslims,” Secretary General of the International Ahl al- Bayt (as) World Assembly, Hojjat-ol-islam Val Moslemin Mohammad Hasan Akhtari told ISNA. “Even if some Arab and Islamic countries accept such plan, the Palestinian people and the movement of Islamic Awakening will not tolerate such thing,” Akhtari underlined. He said the plan for forming an independent Palestinian state has not recently proposed and it was first introduced some 30 years ago.” “The point is that even Israelis never announced that they would accept such plan and this suggestion has been proposed many times but never was accepted,” the scholar mentioned. “This is an American plan and has been proposed for meeting the Israelis’ needs and for sure those who proposed such proposal did not consider the interests of Palestinian people,” the Ayatollah said. “The existence of Israel in the region is dangerous and such presence makes division among Muslims and the late Imam Khomeini underlined this regime should be omitted,” Hojjat-ol-islam Val Moslemin Akhtari expressed. “The best way for getting out of this deadlock is holding a referendum, as the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said,” the Islamic Scholar underscored. “We are not after eradicating Jewish people from the world, we just believe that Palestinians have some rights which should be given back to them,” Hojjat-ol-islam Val Moslemin Akhtari said./129
