Big powers behind occupation of Palestine: Qatar

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Qatar's Parliament Speaker Muhammad bin Mubarak al-Khalifi said on Saturday that big powers helped Zionists occupy Palestine.  
 
He made the remarks in his speech to the 5th International Conference on Palestinian Intifada which kicked off in Tehran on Saturday.

A just peace should be established in the Middle East region, he said, adding that the Zionists are reluctant to heed the will of international community to this effect.

The International community should fulfill its promises regarding the issue of Palestine, he said.

Under the current circumstances where the world is undergoing developments, Tehran is now hosting an international gathering on the most significant issue of the Muslim world, he said.

The Palestinian people are now exposed to atrocities of the Zionist forces and the fabricated regime of Israel has besieged them and continue to massacre them, he said.

The Qatari parliament speaker also lauded the remarkable speeches delivered by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as the host of the conference.

Parliamentary delegations including several speakers, leading political figures and scholars from 50 Islamic and non-Islamic countries as well as leaders of several Palestinian groups are taking part in the two-day event which is focusing on the motto of “Palestine, a land only for Palestinians”.

The motto adopted by the gathering is a reflection of the fact that Palestinians are not in search of a land because they already have their own one.

The conference aims to mobilize all official and non-official capacities in the Islamic world as well as other freedom-loving countries to support Intifada and back the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people in removing occupation of their homeland, return homeless Palestinians to their motherland and vindicate the right of the Palestinians to determine their own destiny.
