A member of the administration of Assembly of Experts in a statement condemned the threat of Bahrain government toward the Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim the leader of Shia in Bahrain and asked them to stop the debate and interact with democracy-seeking people and accept the invitation of religious scholars to put discriminate aside and recognize their basic civil rights.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The statement by Ayatollah Dori Najaf-Abadi, a member of the Supreme Assembly of the Ahlul Bayt (AS) World Assembly is as follows:

In The Name of God, The Compassionate, The Merciful

Holy Prophet (S.A.W.W): "When innovations appear among my people, religious scholars should guide them otherwise God curse them."

Dear Brothers and Sisters of Bahrain.

As-Salamu Alaykum

It was expected that Bahrain’s government meet the legitimate demands of the noble people of Bahrain during the recent months than insists on debate and contention.

Rather to consider other dictators’ fate, Bahrain's governors accuse and threaten elders and scholars. Recently, we see that one of the ministers – who should be the administration of justice – insults "Ayatollah Hajj Sheikh Issa Qassim" the moral and honest character who advocates for justice and unity in Bahrain.

Is brutality a good response to basic rights of citizens? Isn’t the Friday Prayer for the reform in people’s religion and life?

What’s the pulpit of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.W) for, other than public enlightenment and protecting of Islam, Quran and Muslims? Who can defend the justice, truth and oppressed rights better than Friday Imams and clerics of Islam?

If the interpretation of the religion is by Muslim scholars, why the powers middle in the duty of them? Why they act against Islam and moralities and limit the scholars by threatening remarks? Gentlemen who claim to respect democracy and freedom of expression do not learn a lesson from the fate of ousted dictators?

As I know "Ayatollah Haj Sheikh Issa Qassem", his behaviors is full of moralities like, politesse, respect for law, respect the rights of the people, invite to the peace, wants good for the people of Bahrain who advocates for justice and unity there.

May Allah gives Islam and Muslims victory.
