(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A bus carrying Israeli soldiers came under attack 30 kilometers north of Eilat, near the Egyptian border, on Thursday when a gunmen came out of a car and opened fire on the vehicle.
Meanwhile, an anti-tank rocket was fired at another bus and a military patrol was also hit by several explosive devices detonated on its way, according to the Israeli army.
All entrances to the city of Eilat were closed off after the incidents.
Also today an Israeli airstrike has martyred at least six Palestinians in the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah.
The airstrikes came shortly after multiple attacks left six people killed near the southern city of Eilat.
The Israeli military confirmed airstrikes were carried out on Thursday targeting the city of Rafah, which lies on Gaza's border with Egypt.
Israel's War Minister Ehud Barak has accused Gaza of organizing the deadly attacks and vowed a “full force” response against the Palestinians in the blockaded Gaza strip.
The democratically elected Hamas government in Gaza strongly rejected the allegations and warned against any act of aggression against the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon raised fears of an "escalation" in the Israel-Palestinian conflict following the Eilat attacks and called on both sides to act with restraint.
