(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - He was talking to a 10-member Shia ulema delegation which called on him at the CCPO office under the leadership of its Chairman Alhaj Haidar Ali Mirza on Wednesday.
He exhorted them to play their effective role in forging religious tolerance and unity among their followers and extend their all-out help in helping the government meet the challenge of terrorism and sectarianism. The Shia ulema delegation assured the CCPO of their wholehearted cooperation in elimination of terrorism and other heinous crimes in the city and defeating the nefarious aims of those anti-social elements who wanted to create disturbance and chaos in the country.
Meanwhile, a 15-member delegation of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry also supported him at the CCPO office under the leadership of its President Shahzad Ali Malik and Chairman Law and Order Committee Khawja Khawar Rasheed. The CCPO said in order to bring law and order under control, the business community would have to work in close liaison with the law-enforcing agencies which would help in betterment of national economy besides propagating foreign investment in the country. Khawaja Khawar Rasheed said the Lahore business community was prepared to extend its wholehearted cooperation to the Lahore police in maintenance of law and order and to meet any emergency effectively.
