Pakistani religious scholar here Monday said public uprising in Islamic regions is a result of awakening of Muslim Ummah for their rights.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Pakistani religious scholar here Monday said public uprising in Islamic regions is a result of awakening of Muslim Ummah for their rights.

 Senior Vice President of Pakistan Awami Tehreek Agha Murtaza Poya endorsed the statement of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei that the Islamic awakening in the Middle East and North Africa is a great incident that has been unique since the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran.

“The statement of Supreme Leader is encouraging”, said Agha Murtaza Poya.

“New wave of awakening in Arab Muslim nations is a step towards success of Ummah”, he said.

Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with the heads of three branches of power, top military commanders of the armed forces, senior statesmen and officials.

“We should consider both the negative and the positive aspects together. We should avoid dealing with absolute positivism and negativism,” the Supreme Leader said while referring to the very extraordinary situation of the world, particularly the Middle East and North Africa.

Agha Murtaza Poya expressing his views said that awakening in Muslim Ummah is a positive development and unique example.

He was of the view that the present phase of uprising in North Africa and Middle East is very much controlled by the US and allies, 'But this phase will be over soon and the next phase would be much better than the present phase.'

“Ultimately the Islamic forces would emerge”, he was confident. He said that right now it is a transition management.

“Aspirations are very much Islamic, there is no doubt about that”, strongly believed Agha Murtaza Poya.

He said that future of the Arab uprising would be much better and Islamic forces would definitely come in.

Ayatollah Khamenei also noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran is now known as a respectful, influential and accredited country.

“They (enemies) wanted to overthrow the Islamic Republic system, but they failed to do so because the people thwarted numerous threats,” the Supreme Leader said.

Agha Murtaza Poya expressing his views said that Islamic Revolution in Iran has been flourishing despite conspiracies. “It has become more acceptable and understood by many other countries”, he added.

He said that the future of the Islamic Revolution is very bright and 'I foresee that more partners will be joining the Islamic Revolution.'
