Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi Issues Statement on Holy Month of Ramadan

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - “The [recent] awakening Movements of Muslim nations against the tyrannical governments and the arrogant world have jubilated the [true] believers in [God],” a high-profile Iranian jurisprudent said. “The spring in Muslim nations, especially the movement of Bahraini nation against the tyrannical government and Palestinian people against world arrogant make believers happy,” ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi said in part of his message on the occassion of the arrival of holy month of Ramadan.The ayatollah pointed to the recent uprisings in the Islamic World and said,” in the condition that the enemies of Islam cooperate with each other and do their best to accomplish their malignant goals, we should be aware and make a move to inform other Muslims of the enemies tries.” The grand Ayatollah pointed to the key role of Muslim scholars and said,” missionaries, elites and Muslim scientists should step up and stand against those who claim they are supporting the human rights but are reticent in the case of massacring Muslims by the arrogant world.” “Muslims should know that the victory will happen if they get united, become aware, serious and rely on God,” the senior cleric expressed. Ayatollah Makarem Shirzi pointed to the day of Qods [marked on the last Friday of Ramadan to show anger against Israel] and said, “Muslims should be united against cruelty and the arrogant world and they have to be aware of the plots hatched by the enemies and foil them by their proximity.”  /129
