(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - 3000 Muslims from Chechnya will travel to Saudi Arabia for Hajj pilgrimage this year.
Usman Visirxanov, deputy of the Office for Muslim Affairs of the country announced that the documents of those willing to go on the trip are being collected by the office.
He said that so far about 1 thousand and 300 Muslims have referred to the office and presented their documents. Half of the population has asked for booking flights and the other half wants to travel by land, he added.
“The first group of the pilgrims will be dispatched on November 19 in the form of a group headed by the representatives of the office.”
Those interested to register for the pilgrimage should present their documents to the office by August 15.
It has been reported that more than 20 thousand Muslims from Russia will go on Hajj pilgrimage this year.
