(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The assailants, who were riding a motorcycle, attacked the scholar outside his house in eastern Tehran on Saturday afternoon.
His wife sustained injuries during the attack and was immediately transferred to hospital. The incident took place on Bani Hashem Street.
"An Iranian nuclear scientist was assassinated in front of his house today ... and his wife was also wounded," it said. No other details were immediately available.
