(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - India’s Muslim Organisations, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) and All India Muslim Majlis-e Mushawarat (AIMMM), strongly condemn the three terrorist attacks in India's Mumbai city on Wednesday evening, which killed 20 people and injured more than 100.
In a statement, Nusrat Ali, Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, strongly condemned the serial blasts in Mumbai, expressing grief at the incident and demanded the government to conduct a high-level inquiry into the blasts to bring the culprits to justice.
The Secretary General, drew the attention of the government on the clumsy performances of the investigating agencies in such incidents, and called on it to check why security forces have failed in their responsibility to protect public lives and property?
He called upon the government to review that a section of the media and some persons have started the blame game by making speculations even before the government’s official statement on the cause and motive of the incident.
He said that all irresponsible speculations should be avoided to stop creation of the communal atmosphere.
He expressed his deepest condolences to the families of those killed and injured in the blasts.
Meanwhile, Zafarul-Islam Khan, Working President of the All India Muslim Majlis-e Mushawarat, the umbrella body of Indian Muslim organisations, said that Indian Muslims strongly condemn the last evening’s criminal and coward bomb blasts in Mumbai.
“Condemning the terrorist attack, he said security agencies must not leave any stone unturned in probing this attack and bringing the criminals behind it to justice.
Zafarul-Islam commended Union Home Minister’s statement that the security agencies are not ruling out any outfit inimical to the state and country.
He cautioned sections of media and police who have started blaming certain organisations even before the probe could take off. This, he said, only distracts the investigations and has proved wrong in the case of many previous terrorist attacks.
Terror struck Mumbai on Wednesday evening when three near simultaneous blasts ripped through crowded areas killing at least 20 people and injuring more than hundred in a grim reminder of the deadly November 2008 Mumbai attack in which 166 persons were killed by 10 gunmen of Pakistan-based terror outfit LeT.
