(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - As a Shia Iraqi, here I stress the fact that we view Islamic Republic of Iran as an Islamic country that supports all Muslims around the world. We honor the efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran to maintain unity and proximity of Muslims.
On the sideline of the meeting between Iraqi delegation and grand Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, head of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Iraqi scientist Seyyed Mohammad Abdul Ghader, in an exclusive interview some of the most important issues of Iraq and Muslim world that are brought here:
Q: What is your idea about the Shia-Sunni relation in Iraq, regarding the terrorist measures carried out in Tal Afar region to fan the sedition between followers of these denominations? What are the most important challenges on the way of proximity activists?
A: Contrary to the efforts of terrorists and their puppet agents, the relation between Shia and Sunni in Iraq is quite satisfactory and no one can claim that there is the least animosity between Shia and Sunni there.
However the biggest problem in Iraq and especially in Tal Afar region in particular, there is a big problem among the Sunni brothers that is a threat to Muslims and that is a fear of the excommunicators and terrorists who try to separate Shia from Sunni.
Unfortunately the issue has affected their unity. Absence of the seven members of our group is a proof on the issue and the reason is the terrorists in some Sunni-inhabited areas of Iraq especially in Mosel and part of Tal Afar city.
Terrorists recognize Iraqi Shia to be Iranian and use such accusations to justify their violent measures to fan sedition between Shia and Sunni.
This is the biggest challenge on the way of proximity figures and those who try for unity of Shia and Sunni in Iraq.
As a Shia Iraqi, here I stress the fact that we view Islamic Republic of Iran as an Islamic country that supports all Muslims around the world. We honor the efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran to maintain unity and proximity of Muslims.
We insist that we maintain our solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran and support the efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran in bringing unity to the Muslim world.
However terrorists and excommunicators carry out their colonial wishes in our country of Iraq and do not want Iran to achieve its objectives.
Unfortunately they make their efforts against Islamic Republic of Iran through some neighboring countries.
Q: What is the objective of the Iraqi delegation in travelling to Islamic Republic of Iran?
A: We aim to know the original civilization of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
We also aim at reminding the important point that there is no difference between Shia and Sunni in Iraq and in our sity of Tal Afar.
We are all Muslims and we stand against extremist measures, hence we expect Islamic Republic of Iran as a country, that values the future of other Muslim countries, to back us with through its media.
Q: What is your evaluation of the events in Bahrain?
A: Here we denounce the military attack of Saudi forces to Bahrain and killing of the civilians.
We announce our solidarity with Bahraini nation and approve their peaceful demands and reject the allegation against their protests to be religious strikes. The truth is opposite to what is said and these are the demands of all Bahraini people, both Shia and Sunni.
It is noteworthy that Tal Afar in northwestern Mosel has a population of 300,000 people comprising of 60 pc Shia and 40 pc Sunni.
