Grand Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani in a meeting with Al-Smawal Khalfallah, Sudanese Minister of Culture said unity is praised by God Almighty stressing that as the cause of the Muslim victory.
"Throughout the history, unity has been the reason for victory of the Muslims when the enemies found the secret and made efforts to divide members of the Muslim nation," said this top cleric and recommended Muslims to bolster their commonalities and avoid division.
He said that there have been many books on the differences and demanded scholars and officials to keep the books about the commonalities of Islamic denominations.
The senior religious figure praised Sudan as a country with followers of Ahlul Bayt (AS) and recommended Sudanese official to publish books with the theme of Muslim commonalities.
He quoted Qur'anic verse on unity and said once Muslim nation is deviated; it has to save itself by holding on to their unity.
