(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A Qom seminary scholar said Allameh Askari’s scientific influence reached seminaries in 20 cities in Iran, Lebanon, Turkey, and Iraq.
Speaking at the 5th session of the forums titled “Allameh Askari: Defender of Shia Frontiers”, Ayatollah Mohammad Hossein Ahmadi Faqih referred to the richness of Allameh’s scientific studies and said Allameh played a direct role in the intellectual revival of a number of seminaries.
“I can name at least 20 cities and their seminaries where Allameh was directly involved in their intellectual revival,” he said.
“Allameh Askari’s works are convincing to every fair reader, so that anyone, whether Shia or Sunni would accept what he says in his works.”
Referring to some prejudices among Shias and Sunnis and oppositions to Islamic proximity, Ayatollah Ahmadi Faqih stated, “Promoting proximity among Shia and Sunni Muslims is upon us all. We have learned it from the Infallible (AS) and Allameh Askari who was a follower of the Infallible (AS) acted accordingly.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Qom seminary instructor pointed to the recent developments in the Middle East region and said, “The Islamic Revolution of Iran boosted proximity and what we are seeing in the region now is the outcome of the revolution.
Also addressing the session was Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Mohammad Qaem Maqami who also stressed Allameh’s efforts to promote Islamic proximity.
