All the plots hatched by enemies against Iran in recent years have proved to be futile, Tehran’s interim Friday prayers leader, Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, said, lauding the key role of Iran’s religious leadership in safeguarding the country and its values.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Ayatollah Jannati also said ‘Velayat-e Faqih’ (Guardianship of Supreme Jurisprudence) is the key to solve all problems of the country.

Delivering his second Friday prayers sermon to large groups of Tehrani worshipers at Tehran University campus, Ayatollah Jannati said enemies have repeatedly been slapped in the face by the leadership and due to the same reason, they are scared of it.

He said the leadership oversees three branches of government.

“The supreme jurisprudent steps in whenever it is deemed necessary. Experience over the past 32 years has shown that in the Islamic Republic of Iran, leadership is the key to solve all problems,” he declared.
